Part 2

"Radio ,check radio check" I'm busy finding the correct frequency to contact the headquarters. This old radio has been with me, since my first time doing operation as a squad. My position in our squad has been the radioman, the communicator, the messenger that's what they said for my title. This is my third campaign as the radioman in this squad.
"This is Jackrabbit, contacting eagle-1. Requesting response, we already arrived at the checkpoint, i said it again we already arrived at the checkpoint, coming over"

"This is Eagle-1, what's the situation Jackrabbit?" At last a fast response, since when they reply so quick?
"This is Jackrabbit unit, no sign of the beacon's light"
Well, we already been two days out here already, doing long march searching for this level 2 package, if it's not because of HQ sending us here, we wouldn't be out of here. Dying empty stomach, cold sleeping outside.
"How's the condition of your unit?" Duh! absolutely we are tired if you are asking me, it's been nothing out of here, it's just a dead city, an abandoned city, there would be ghosts of dead people around us, i can feel it around me having goosebumps

I look to Orto before answering.
He nod his head.
"We are ready to move."
"Jackrabbit, this is your commander speaking."
Commander. Warren, the old man. I still remember the first time i met him. He was my instructor back then, when i was still on my conscription. It was hell if you ask me, but if you want to seek a man with dignity, bravery, integration and a great motivator, he is the man. Back then, we called him the Kaiser.
"Yes, Sir! We are listening!"
"Listen , i want you to keep looking for this specific package, i don't care how's the condition you find it, just bring it back to me. I know you've been two days out there, it's dangerous we aware of that, we wouldn't take any risks more than four days. You will keep moving through the North, passing 4 more checkpoints, there will be the place they called Kalimati." I heard Rob mumble behind me.
"For whatever your team do, find this thing in one piece, it's a priority and get it back here to the HQ!" He shouted to loud, the radio squeaked little because of sudden loud voice.
"Sir, if i may ask?"
"What is it?"
"What's with this thing? I mean it's only level-2 package, why not send the whole units if the HQ want fast?" I'm asking out of my curiosity, since we were deployed to this abandoned city.
"That's none of your business, your job is only to receive order." I heard Juan laughing holding his laugh.
"Am i making myself clear?"
"Yes, sir!"
"Dismissed!, get some rest for 30 minutes, then move out."
"Understood!"
